The U.S. Census Bureau has released the 2022 Public Elementary-Secondary Education Finance Data which compares different data points which can be used to compare education spending in each state and the District of Columbia. The data below compares the historical spending for Fiscal Years 2017 to 2022. Texas ranks below the majority of states in the U.S. This is a trend that continues.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) today released the spring 2024 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) results for students in Grades 3-8. The results include assessments in mathematics and reading-language arts (RLA) in grades 3-8, 5th and 8th grade science and 8th grade social studies.
